My accounting career started at age 18, working as a bookkeeper and tax return preparer for a small CPA firm. I was trained as an apprentice, learning skills gradually and thoroughly. Meanwhile, I also obtained a Bachelors Degree in business and accounting from Western Governors University.
In the thirteen years I worked there, I handled bookkeeping clients from many industries including restaurants, construction, medical/dental, law, retail sales, rental homes, non-profits, and more.
I also learned an eye for precision and efficiency. I became skilled at taking messy receipts and bank statements and turning them into something organized and easily understandable for business owners.
With my passion for accounting fully developed, I decided to start my own bookkeeping practice to help others who are struggling with their finances.
